Jedi Knight Ports Are Coming To Switch And PlayStation 4

Lucasfilm and Aspyr are bringing the Jedi Knight series back from the dead. On September 24, Star Wars: Jedi Knight II – Jedi Outcast will be ported to Switch and PlayStation 4. Along with a story-based campaign that takes place eight years after the events of Return of the Jedi, this re-release brings back the fun multiplayer component. At the very least, it'll be good to see Kyle Katarn in action again. Does this mean he's a part of Star Wars' canon now?

In 2020, the sequel Star Wars: Jedi Knight – Jedi Academy will be released for these same systems. The Switch versions will feature gyro aiming support.

Deadly Premonition Is Getting A Sequel For Switch

During today's Nintendo Direct, the most unexpected announcement was Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise. Rising Star Games is bringing this cult-classic series back in what appears to be a direct sequel … kind of.

Part of the game is set in Boston in 2019 following FBI director Aaliyah Davis, who opens up an old serial killer case. Her pursuit of this killer also opens a door that leads 14 years into the past to New Orleans and a familiar face: FBI agent Francis York Morgan, the protagonist from the first game. The past and present will collide into what Rising Star Games calls a “winding path” that could be filled with madness or truth.

Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise arrives at an unspecified date in 2020.

Banjo And Kazooie Arrive In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Today! Terry Bogard Is Next

If you love Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, you may want to charge up your Switch's batteries immediately. DLC fighters Banjo and Kazooie will be available for download at some point today. These beloved platforming stars have long been requested by fans, but seemed like longshots given Banjo-Kazooie is a property owned by Microsoft. You know, the Xbox company.

Turns out Microsoft doesn't care what systems its games go on (kidding?), and fans got exactly what they wanted. Banjo and Kazooie began their careers on the Nintendo 64, and it's nice to see them back in the fold, even if it is in cameo roles.

Nintendo also announced Terry Bogard from SNK's Fatal Fury fighting game series will be coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in November. He isn't as well known as most of the characters, but he's been around since 1991 and is good fun to play in the Fatal Fury games. He deserves to be on this stage.

Nintendo concluded its Smash Bros. segment during today&#039..

Overwatch Is Coming To Nintendo Switch On October 15

The rumors are true! Blizzard's popular competitive shooter is heading to Nintendo's hybrid system on October 15. No specific details for the Switch version were given during the Nintendo Direct, but one screen did say “new ways to play,” which could just mean you can play it mobile or on your TV, or perhaps some exclusive features are being added to this upcoming version.

Rumors of the Switch port first arrived in late August when an Overwatch-themed Switch carrying case appeared on Amazon. It was quickly removed, leading many to believe the port would be announced soon. That ended up being the case. Good sleuthing, internet!

The game doesn't hit until November, but you can get your first taste of this new Star Wars tale today. Penned by Matthew Rosenberg (Uncanny X-Men) with art from Paolo Villanelli (Vader: Dark Visions), Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order – Dark Temple gives us a look at Padawan Cere Junda's life before going into hiding on Bracca and meeting Cal Kestis, the protagonist of the game.

In this story, Cere is sent with her master Eno Cordova to a temple on Ontotho, which ends up being far more dangerous than they anticipated. The temple holds secrets, one of which has become a point of interest for the Empire and one of its Inquisitors, the Second Sister we'll see in the game. In the comic, she says “I have heard rumors of an unusual foe” on Ontotho. Could this planet be a location we travel to in the game? What about this foe? We'll find out when the game hits.

CD Projekt Red Confirms Multiplayer Is Coming To Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 pits players against a world of criminality and technology, but they won't necessarily be on their own for long. Developer CD Projekt Red has confirmed that multiplayer is coming to the game in a post-launch update.

The studio tweeted the confirmation, saying that it's coming along with several free DLC updates. There's no firm timeline at this point, nor any word on what multiplayer will entail. In July, a Polish news source reported that the studio was working on several Cyberpunk-related projects, including what was then called a multiplayer spinoff.

For more on the game, take a look at a recent 14-minute video from the game. Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 16.
