The Responsibilities of our Roster

Founded back in 2016, we’ve a tested and well solidified constitution centred around a unique, friendly community based on the ideals of friendship and  camaraderie! Our roles and their main responsibilities can be noted below and more information is available to you upon request.

What are the responsibilities of this role?

You will be a member of a specific team within the community responsible for the development of a set department. The role of a Department Representative [DR] is to assist the recruiting Supervisor with their department. The manager will set aims, goals and responsibilities of which the DR will aim to strive for. Other responsibilities include: 

  • Review and evaluate content compliance with our Community Rules;
  • Teamwork and coherence;
  • Reporting updates to the recruiting Community Manager and other staff members when called upon;
  • Attendance of staff meetings when required;
  • Craft and execute recruiting campaigns, events and social
  • Analyze new and potential features and propose initiatives to help grow the community and departments;
  • Assisting with events created by the recruiting Community Manager;
  • Commitment and dedication towards the goals set by the recruiting Community Manager; and lastly,
  • Answering questions proposed to them by the community.

What are the responsibilities of this role?

You will be an integral member of the Marketing department, supporting with various marketing projects, gaming events, providing organisational and administrative support to the larger marketing team. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming new people to the Community;
  • Managing our Social Media platforms;
  • Advertising on various Advertising Discords and Websites; and lastly, 
  • Attendance of staff meetings and PIPs when required.

What are the responsibilities of a Even Manager?

Those apart of this team will be arranging monthly events for the community. 

  • Creating at least 1 event every Month; 
  • Successfully completing the Event template in the Handbook;
  • Maintaining communication with the department head; 
  • Keep upto date with the Staff Bulletins; and 
  • Attendance of staff meetings and PIPs when required.

What are the responsibilities of this role?

You will apart of the Partnership team, securing endless amounts of partnerships with other communities whilst owning positive relationships with other professional individuals and supporting a larger team and head of the department. Other responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate and provide information about our community on different social outlets;

  • To secure 3 partnerships per week;

  • Create a positive image of NovaGaming;

  • Comply with reasonable instructions from appropriate staff members;

  • Draw other gamer’s into the Community by promoting our family ethic & community in a friendly, approachable manner;

  • Answer questions and concerns about our Community; and lastly,

  • Encourage social interaction across our services.

What are the responsibilities of this role?

You will be an integral part of not only the staff team here at Nova, but also the Community. Entrusted to uphold the morals of the Community, you will be also tasked with supporting the Head Moderator, other staff members and anyone in need of your assistance. Other responsibilities include:

  • Moderate all forms of public communications associated with Nova (our Discord server);
  • Be knowledgeable on all the rules involved with Nova and specifically the format you’re entrusted to moderate on;
  • Be professional, not to abuse the powers they’ve been entrusted with and listen and fulfil the needs of mostly every player/member they encounter with Nova;
  • Maintain the Forum Guidelines and uphold our interpretations of all of our rules, regulations and documentations;
  • Attend staff meetings when called. Remember, we’re a team here at Nova and communication is a vital part of any community;
  • Get involved. Be apart of the community and cooperate with other staff members and prompt conversations with other users; and lastly, 
  • Be active. You must be online to complete your duties, if you can’t be for whatever reason for a said period of time, let the community know!

What are the responsibilities of this role?

In essence, our Supervisors, be that the Role Play Supervisor/Dungeons & Dragons Supervisor/Server Supervisor, are entrusted to supervise a certain activity here at Nova gaming. The role requires you to work closely with our community, events, partnerships and develop a close working relationship with the existing staff team and those to follow. Needless to say, this role requires you to have a passion for the activities you’re applying for. Other responsibilities include: 

  • Creating and maintaining platform related content, discussions & debates that touch gamers across the globe;

  • Be professional, not to abuse the powers they’ve been entrusted with and listen and fulfill the needs of mostly every player/member they encounter with Nova.

  • Be knowledgeable on all the rules involved with Nova and specifically the format you’re entrusted to moderate on.

  • Drive Growth – by attracting active, potential members into the Community;

  • Promote the community in as many ways as possible. For example, if you’re a streamer (on YouTube/Twitch/PlaysTV/etc), we’d expect you to affiliate your content with Nova to promote marketing;  

  • Attend staff meetings when called. Remember, we’re a team here at Nova and communication is a vital part of any community;

  • Enforce Policy. As a Supervisor, one must ensure their team follows the communities rules and guidelines;

  • Administration is also a key element for a Community Manager. You must ensure records are maintained and all public information is correct. In addition, you must ensure to correspond with other departments; and lastly,

Support the community as a whole. Simply do not turn a blind eye to an issue elsewhere within the community. We’re a Family. If you see an issue, please highlight it and if you know a solution, please share it.
